We’re hiring at Katanox. We’re building the financial and distribution infrastructure for hospitality. Hotels and travel buyers use our platform to handle direct contracting, connectivity, payments, reconciliation, and settlement in one place, instead of stitching together a dozen tools. We’re a Dutch National Bank and FCA licensed payment institution, headquartered in Amsterdam with hubs in London and New York.

The stack: Kotlin, Ktor, gRPC, arrow-kt, PostgreSQL, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, React/TypeScript.

You’ll work on backend Kotlin services that sit on the critical path for real money movement: payments, reconciliation, settlement, plus the booking and pricing systems that keep everything consistent across a fragmented industry. The team is lean, the surface area is big, and you’ll have real ownership over architecture and outcomes. Financial regulation means we care a lot about data integrity, auditability, and reliability, so if shipping systems where correctness actually matters sounds fun, this is a good fit.

Leading the Trading team, which owns the systems behind contracting, distribution, and the booking flow between hotels and travel buyers. Hands-on enough to stay close to the code and architecture, with the people side (1:1s, growth, hiring, performance) as the core of the role. Good fit if you’ve led backend teams and want a small org where your decisions shape the whole engineering function.
