In Kotlin 2.4.0 (i am using RC2 version) context parameters are promoted to stable. Then why do I still need the `-Xcontext-parameters` compiler option? Or is the IDE (AS Qual 2 Canary2) playing games with me?

It is fixed in IntelliJ EAP. I'm not sure when the fix will reach AndroidStudio.

This is a known issue.
There is already a tracking issue for it: <https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/KTIJ-38699|KTIJ-38699>. The fix is expected in IntelliJ IDEA 2026.1.3.

In the meantime, the recommended workaround would be to use the 2026.2 EAP build, where the issue should already be fixed.
