Kore v.1.0.0-alpha03 is out now
Kore is a Compose Multiplatform design foundation that provides beautifully pre-styled components for building scalable and consistent design systems.
This release focuses on web support, theming improvements, and overall polish. Rather than introducing a large number of new components, the goal was to stabilize and refine the core experience.
Added
- Kotlin/Wasm and Kotlin/JS web support.
- An improved documentation site with interactive component demos.
- Support for Tailwind color palettes as an optional primary color source alongside Radix Colors.
- New "dashed" and "dotted" separator variants.
- A collection of new Compose modifiers and extension utility functions.
- Shape radius customization in the Theme Builder playground.
Changed
- Refined APIs and visual design for several components, including Cards, Switches, Radio Buttons, and List Tiles.
- Renamed the library module from "korelibrary" to "kore" for cleaner imports.
- Replaced the previous SmoothCorner implementation, which was limited to drawing squircle shapes.
- Updated the default theme colors.
- Improved how accent foreground colors ("onPrimary", "onComplementary", and "onError") are calculated. These colors now blend over white to ensure they meet accessibility contrast requirements.
Fixed
- Fixed resource sharing issues on Android.
- Fixed the incorrect complementary color name shown on the Create page.
