06/16/2026, 4:26 PMIt seems I can’t turn off AI auto completion suggestions although I have turned it off in settings as shown in the screenshot. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue ? I’m running Android Studio Quail 1 | 2026.1.1 Patch 1 on a Mac.

06/17/2026, 9:39 AMThank you for your prompt response and the suggestion. Please find a snapshot of a suggestion showing for a dummy function I typed to demonstrate it. I only typed the function signature, the open parenthesis and pressed enter.
I also unchecked the “Show suggestions as you type” option to no avail(screenshot in the middle). The “Editor->Code Completion->Inline” option has a link that takes you to the AI settings section as shown in the right most screenshot. Hope you’d let me know if you mean a different setting when you say “local completion settings”.

07/19/2026, 7:24 AMSorry for the late response. The settings you are showing is for AI Assistant from IntelliJ/JetBrains. That is not part of the AI features from Google, so you will have to file issues with IntelliJ YouTrack.
