It would be nice if the cli could say where this description property is unset. Is it in `settings.publishing` , or `settings.publishing.pom`  I'll check the reference documentation though

Nevermind - it does already do that, I'm just being stupid. It was not obviously clear to me that no properties (i.e. `settings.`) before description meant that it was at the root of the document. It is now.

I have to admit that for top-level properties it's hard to tell whether the error shows you a proper path or just the leaf name :sweat_smile:

It confused me initially... but it does make sense though.
