When trying to create a configurable interface for my plugin it complains it is a redeclaration, any ideas?
j
Does it complain when you build with the CLI? Or just in the IDE?
Also, just to eliminate the obvious, you don't have any other interface named the same way in the same package (possibly in dependencies), do you?
j
No interface named the same, nope, when I rename it in IntelliJ the same error appears. It is fixed by invalidating cache. The issue does not appear when building with the CLI.
j
Glad that you found a solution! Does it come back from time to time or was it a one-timer? If you figured out some reproducing steps it would tremendously help investigate the cache corruption problem 🙏🏼
j
Yep, comes back from time to time, seemingly when I'm working in a module.yaml file and I save it with a formatting error, or randomly if I work in other modules and go back to the plugin module it re-appears. Only solution that has worked for me has been invalidating the cache.

Happening on TaskAction as well
After sync'ing the kotlin project, these are no longer present either
Back to conflicting after invalidating caches
message has been deleted
I quit IntelliJ and re-opened the same project again, and now these are gone again
After invalidating the cache the types are found again, but there still seem to be a conflict
Everything does seem to build though

Thanks for the details! We'll check what's going on here. @utikeev maybe you could help out? 🙏🏼
For tracking: KTC-5847 @Configurable and @TaskAction declarations sporadically considered as "redeclaration" or "conflicting overloads"
Let's carry on the discussion over there if you have more info to share, so it doesn't get lost

Thanks for the report! Just to clarify—it's 2026.2.2 as you've stated in one of the previous threads, right?
j
Correct
