Hi everyone -> I have been working somewhile on using js with kmp app on mobile/desktop... I have managed to integrate a small JS Runtime called Bare and now I'm able to run kmp with js/(npm modules) to have p2p ecosystem!!! So kudoos on kmp being so crazy flexible... Out of curiosity, how does this compare to something like Zipline?

Hi I haven't touched it tbh however its using quickjs, Bare uses v8 but still compatible with other engines
only reason for me was to have p2p ecosystem so i dont need servers anymore!!! hypercore protocol -> written in js since the start...
I love kmp since I want everything in one place, I had earlier embedded into native android and swift apps so I wanna have this route!! coz i'm working on something.. I had experimented serving 128GB maps and live location sharing app -> using other datastructures like hyperdrive helped me build and serve tiles of map with no servers like I mean one but once peers download the tiles they need, they also share the tiles!!
Sorry i'm just too excited to have things or build them in p2p fashion so users dont need to worry about accounts, passwords or data leaks!!
Made small tool filesharing -> peerdrop.app working great on macos!! ios and android code issues again blame AI

No worries, I just have usecases outside of p2p that can still take advantage of a JS runtime and I'm curious how well Kotlin + Kotlin/JS interop is compared to something like zipline 🙂
Still nifty to see other ways to embed alternative runtimes alongside KMP

i think bare also has somewhere quickjs build!! but I haven't used it yet.
tbh i think very performant and light just by nature of quickjs
at present I'm working on rpc module to easily communicate over duplex stream from kt/js
