I've just released v0.18.0 of
MapLibre Compose, a library for adding interactive vector maps to your Compose Multiplatform apps. I skipped announcing v0.17, so here are the highlights from both:
• More flexible camera animations, including independently animating camera properties on native
• New APIs for hosting maps outside the Compose UI hierarchy on iOS and web, including a CarPlay demo
• Experimental Kotlin/Native macOS support, plus OpenGL and Vulkan options across JVM desktop platforms
• An improved animated location indicator with bearing accuracy sector
• Extensible plugin layers, better overlays and gesture handling
• Bug fixes and performance improvements, thanks to a new benchmark harness
Both releases include breaking API changes; see the upgrade notes for v0.17 and v0.18:
