Hi all!
Shipped KMPMedia 1.10.0, an MIT Kotlin Multiplatform media library for Compose (Android and iOS from one commonMain codebase). 
It covers runtime-editable and animated SVG, animated GIF playback, cropping an image or video into any shape, a free-form polygon lasso, cross-platform video and audio sprites. New in 1.10.0 is OGMorphShape: mask a running video, GIF or photo with a clip outline that morphs between any shapes you choose, at 60fps.

Are you planning more, too?

Right now KMPMedia is Android + iOS. The video surface sits on the native players (media3/ExoPlayer and AVPlayer), so desktop and web would each need their own backend, which is on the radar but not in yet. 
Nice that ComposeMediaPlayer covers the full target set, good reference. Worth noting KMPMedia is broader than a player: animated/interactive SVG, GIFs, image+video shape-cropping, an on-device compositor with GIF/MP4 export, gestures and audio. 
We went depth-on-mobile first, but more targets are definitely something we're weighing.
