I need to access the JSON serializer within a ktor request to perform custom serialization, is there a way to do that? from what I can see ContentNegotiationConfig contains an internal registrations array

You can do it the other way around by creating the serializer yourself and passing it to the ContentNegotiation plugin.

No, unfortunately, there's no such method.

IMHO there should be an option to pass the serializer/format as an request Attribute, but it is not yet implemented
