Hey everyone - happy Tuesday! 🎉 We've just released http4k v6.61.0.0, which will be the last http4k Maven Central release until v7 in Jan (see above). See the changelog for all details. In this release the big news was the addition of http4k Connect modules for the Typesafe AI APIs - which notably includes the new Jev model that has everyone on the internet all excited. With regards to distribution situation (changing on October 1st), it seems that Sonatype have been further "refining" their rules to be even more restrictive - we expect for this to come into sharp focus as we enter Q4 and the JVM Open Source community start to lose the ability to access CVE fixes, but for the moment we've got no choice but to see what happens. In other news, the State of Kotlin 2026 report has been released - and http4k is now firmly in the "silver place" pack of a few projects gaining ~7% of all Kotlin backend usage (well- at least the self-selecting set of users that responded to the survey 😉!). No prizes for guessing the top 2 entrants in the list, but we were very happy that your favourite HTTP toolkit is now playing in the same league as some of established the JVM heavyweights - Quarkus, Micronaut and Vertx. Lastly - tickets for KotlinConf are on sale - I suspect we'll be putting something together to celebrate http4k's 10th birthday 🙂 👋
