I talked today to Firebase guys at next.app conference in Berlin. There is still no plan for an official KMP Firebase SDK. They say they are talking about it, but there is no expectation of having anything ready within the next 12 months. If anyone needs Firebase in a KMP project right row, I think the best solution is expect/actual, using the new SPM Import on the iOS side.
