Do you guys have any plans to implement the program status protocol in the kotlin toolchain CLI?
There are more and more CLI apps out there who recently added this protocol support

I had never heard of it, but it seems very cool! I wonder what the terminal coverage is for this

The terminal coverage is quite low yet. Libghostty (which technically is not a terminal) and Rex seem to be the only so far.
But the number of CLI apps supporting it is increasing really fast. Amongst them:
• Amp, Factoryai, TUIOS, libghostty, cmux, Codex, Herdr, OpenCode
• Crush
• Claude Code

Good news, @joffrey, the terminal coverage has just increased even more. Now the terminal in every JetBrains IDE supports this protocol out of the box

The blog post you linked just mentioned the switch to Libghostty, though. That doesn't mean that the IDE terminal will respond to the OSC 7501 codes by showing some new UIs. This still has to be implemented AFAIK. Or did you read somewhere that this specific OSC 7501 is supported too?

Absolutely. I just meant that libghostty is already aware of that codes and hence the IntelliJ terminal is kinda supports this as well (with no UI obviously)
