Does anyone know why jetbrains or google insist that the default when starting a project is build in groovy and not in kotlin? I really don’t like having to rework the old system into usable Kotlin based.

I was just guessing based on what was commented in the ticket :slightly_smiling_face: We'll see for sure if they reply to your question in the issue.

i think they (xav) basically just said that the tooling and speed isn't there yet to be on par with groovy.
