When Intellij runs gradle tasks, are the gradle processes linked to the intellij one? I have earlyoom enabled, which kills intellij because the memory it uses is the highest but the java processes that were spawned through intellij are alive. Is there a way to stop them too? I have to kill them manually. Also, for some reason a gradle task almost always spawns a different process (daemon is enabled) This is the configuration for gradle:

Gradle daemons run as separate processes, so they may remain alive if IntelliJ is killed by earlyoom. You can stop them with
./gradlew --stop
If you believe IntelliJ should terminate these processes automatically, please report this in the IntelliJ IDEA on YouTrack with your IDE build, OS, and Gradle version.

I have the daemon to terminate in 3 minutes of inactivity but I would expect intellij to take down all the processes it spawned. Thanks though

IJ can display the attached daemons. Double tap shift and find the 'Show Gradle Daemons' action.
