I feel slightly daft asking this, but which IDE are you supposed to use for compose desktop?

Just for desktop, vanilla IntelliJ is fine

Both AS and Intellij work fine for desktop. If you are going to do android too I'd rather use Android Studio has it integrates much better with your android devices
