Whats your opinion on eshop apps (like adidas, nike, amazon etc) having native apps?

I never really understood whats the point for native eshop, as opposed to having properly optimized mobile web experience

If you wanted nike shoes, would you go to play store to download a big app first as oppsed to googling nike website in chrome? Or is it a repeat purchase thing?

I avoid downloading such apps. They might want you to download them so they can track your location and build a profile of your shopping behaviour.
