Does anyone have a clue how is Craslhytics calculating crash-free sessions? Or is this some hyper-dimensional math I'm not aware of How can crashfree be non 100% when 0 crashes
h
Must be the 8 non-fatal crashes. That seems to correspond with the dates. Now why the non-fatal crashes aren't included in the «crashes» category, well, that's another question ...
u
you see it doesnt, you can see the dip is on the 18th, and the bar says no thing on 18th
o
@hallvard because a non-fatal isn't a crash
h
Sounds plausible, but also sounds like a very bad choice of words. A non-fatal car crash is still a crash, so I would expect it to be likewise for android ...
o
@hallvard It doesn't say it's a non-fatal crash; non-fatal refers to non-fatal exception/error. Check https://firebase.google.com/docs/crashlytics/customize-crash-reports?platform=android#log-excepts.
Fyi: the app doesn't crash / user doesnt notice when the app records a non fatal
u
nonfatal is just manually reported exception, whatever it is, doesnt mean system is in some terminal state
i contacted support. and they said the number is calcilated via analytics, not via crashlytics recorded crashes 🤷‍♂️ so they can get out of sync
