iirc it fetches the latest versioncode from google play and increments it by one

yea i use it.. auto increment hm really? publishFooApk doenst do that, maybe some other task? btw not sure if I want that either, since that would cause a rebuild of release. Im trying to reuse the artifact in deploy from build release, where deploy is on manual trigger, and is preceeded by the build release
