12/16/2019, 5:19 PM@ursus Jenkins is oooold skool, i honestly haven't kept up with the latest devops hype because jenkins is relatively painless for maven and deploy scripts, just add yourself as admin and point to git and wire up checkin callbacks to github and slack. I have gone to the lengths of baking a custom docker image to host Jenkins in docker swarm, externalize volume, etc. My impression of SAAS has been <this is comletely uninteresting to figure out I would rather be coding>

12/16/2019, 5:51 PMother stuff is more important than finding a replacement for jenkins. The tool itself is not broken, even if it doesn't have all the cool new stuff from other tools (both SaaS and on premises)
Does it ran tests, and can you make sure you have reproducible builds? than it's ok for CI.
Continuous deployment is another story for anything big. But CI and CD are 2 very different problems.
