You can't use it in IntelliJ which means you don't get any proper syntax highlighting, inspections, intentions and things like gradle tool window

And also the completion has no concept of "types" and "methods" and "properties" so it just gives you the stuff people pick more often, which turns out is not nearly as useful as context-aware auto-completion

at the first kotlin conf someone asked the jetbrains CEO if they plan to use machine learning to make the IDE better. IIRC the response was basically. duh, we already do that.
