@r4zzz4k anecdotally, I've noticed the bar for data scientists gets lower every year, and the field may be in decline. I've met "data scientists" who don't even know SQL, but can copy and paste a snippet of Python to use a black box library they only have an abstract understanding of. They might have memorized a few Pandas commands to do basic tasks that can be done in Excel... but couldn't tell you anything about OOP or code design.
This also might be why there's a growing weird sentiment "data scientists" will be automated and out of a job soon, if oversupply of talent doesn't happen first.
