I don't really understand the anti-Eclipse thing because apart from that 2012 android, the last time I used Eclipse was around 2005 for a couple of years - and to tell you the truth, I thought it was pretty awesome back then

I tried to use eclipse many times, mostly for web development, even some IDEs based on eclipse. It never was even close to IDEA, for web development it was just incomparable, not sure about pure Java development
