Since when Kotlin is a heavyweight language?

I don't think it is. I ran across this, there's a population of people that feel like Kotlin is just a trend and come up with misguided reasons or sometimes facts that are just straight up inaccurate
I think it's symptomatic of the general framework fatigue many developers experience, and the fact that people are changing entire codebases over to this language might just trigger stress for some, causing a reaction in people I categorize as "conspiracy theorists"
What most of that population don't realize is how important a community is to an open-source language
