The original title of https://stackoverflow.com/questions/48317709/why-is-kotlins-map-filter-reduce-slower-than-javas-stream-operations-on-large "Why is Kotlin so slow in comparison to Java" really makes me angry. Such a lazy approach to formulating a question. And not to speak of the "benchmark" itself.

“Stack Overflow is the largest, most trusted online community for developers to learn, share their knowledge, and build their careers”. You shouldn’t be angry at a question posted in a website that is also targeted at audiences with low knowledge level. Instead you should clarify to them why such an assumption is wrong.
