I’m worried the rtfm emoji would be overused. Otherwise I like the idea (and google is needed).

I agree, I am not a fan of the RTFM comments. It can be abused easily. I’ve adopted the strategy of finding the link to the docs where something is explained, and pointing them to it.

Lots of times finding the docs is not easy. There have been lots of times I’ve gotten lost in the docs for Spring, for example. So RTFM comment when I can’t find how to do something can feel a bit rude because it assumes I have not been trying to read the manual. Also, sometimes we can be reading outdated docs, but we don’t know.

And very often the problem is that one doesn't know the correct term to search for.

Definitely don't want the Kotlin community to be like the Linux one (eg RTFM) ☹️. Doesn't create a friendly atmosphere.
