Hi Andrew, Kotlin is a new language that JetBreins (Intelli J owner) made in order to have an alternative in functional language and complete compatible with Virtual Machine, so this run as Java on same place, so Java still being a powerful language and independent, I assume still growing in time and maybe continue being best language or not, feature tell us which one is better. For example Google in Android is adopting Kotlin as future language, but still continue working with Java and still posting articles about other languages they are thinking in use to make mobile app, so...... just want to wait and learn kotlin or not is our own decision.
