louiscad: the barrier is incredibly low the lowest in the history of computing. So the only real barrier now is the desire of people to do it and I think teaching is a good thing but consumers tend to stay consumers

That's not true because most kids and teens don't have access to a computer all the time (I had to buy one myself when I was 15 years old with my small savings, and I'm in France, not even a poor country!). Just because all americans have a computer doesn't mean every kid and teen on the planet has. Please, stop generalize that much
