I just could not decode the question "would you be sad without Kotlin/JS" or something like this... This is a very worrying question, my first reaction was "OMG, Kotlin/JS will be removed"... 😱

My immediate response after reading that question was,"I am screwed". Being the one whole led to the wide adoption of Kotlin/JS in multiple organisation

There is a place for additional feedback in the survey - I've added some words about this ;-]

Just as I'm getting started with Kotlin/JS you guys start hinting on removing it from KMP. This is concerning

Don’t worry, folks, we’re still very much committed to Kotlin/JS! We just wanted to experiment with Sean Ellis test and were hoping that the team’s activity around Kotlin/JS (for example, check the 1.6.20 related section in What’s new, and more features and improvements are coming in 1.7.0 K ) will be enough to show that this question exists just to measure sentiment, not to make a decision about tech’s future. We didn’t want to make you worry, and we are deeply sorry for that ❤️

I'm pretty sure the JB team had the best of intentions and will not sunset anything mentioned. From what I've seen and learned it looks like the scary question has just too much of a downside. I wonder what its upside may be: There is no mention of any scientific evaluation of the "Sean Ellis test", so is there any validity to its claims? Why a 40% score? One might actually learn something by asking the question. But what exactly, and if so, is it really worth the cost?

Oh, I came here because of the mention of Kotlin/JS in the survey. I am glad to see that it is not going yet. I was thinking maybe you had an announcement about WASM in favour of Kotlin/JS of some kind of thing like this 😅
d
you guys should be realists. we all live in new era starting from feb 24. jb is a russian company. and they have to do some unpopular movements to survive.
