Really think that Kotlin should have a cute animal mascot, as many Kotliners have pointed out. A perfect one to match would be a Parrot 🦜 called Kathrin that features purple feathers and a light red head. Would fit in very nicely with Kotlin's sea theme. Many other programming languages have an animal mascot (eg the Crab 🦀 with Rust), why did Kotlin end up not using an animal mascot?

Many Kotliners have expressed their unhappiness over the Kotlin mascot on the Kotlin Reddit ( https://www.reddit.com/r/Kotlin/comments/qdfmm1/introducing_the_kotlin_mascot/ ). Not a single Kotliner seems to like the mascot so far.

Let me repeat here that Kotlin mascot looks like Duduka from old Soviet cartoon. It's sounds similar as Java mascot Duke, maybe it is the best name? 😆

Kathleen. It's a common name in the UK & Ireland, so no need for made-up names, yet it has all the consonants of Kotlin and even the vowels sound similar.
