is it normal that if I want to implement the following gradle interface

public interface ArtifactRepository {
    String getName();
    void setName(String name);

I cant use a override var name: String, but I'm forced to

class GithubArtifactRepository : ArtifactRepository {
    private var n = "github"
    override fun getName(): String = n
    override fun setName(name: String) { n = name }
