For someone not familiar with kotlin multiplatorm, is kotlin multiplatform mobile the same as kotlin multiplatform? I always thought KMM = kotlin multiplatform, and never really heard of kotlin multiplatform mobile before. Just want to make sure I understand the lingo

Don’t quote me on this, but it looks more like a marketing thing than a technology thing, like they’re wanting to compete with Flutter. The Android Studio plugin would allow you to run the iOS app from Android Studio, which is pretty cool, but it looks like it’s just normal MPP with a slight change in the messaging around it

@Casey Brooks MPP?

“Multi-Platform Project”. It’s how Kotlin Multiplatform is commonly referred to within the Kotlin community

Hi @Colton Idle, Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM) is an SDK for cross-platform mobile development provided by JetBrains. It uses the multiplatform capabilities of Kotlin and includes various tools and features designed to make the end-to-end experience of building mobile cross-platform applications as enjoyable and efficient as possible. You can find more detailed information in our blogpost. We have tried to explain what is KMM in the first paragraph of the blogpost. Hope you will enjoy it!
