Hi all,
can i know the plan for kotlin-eclipse plugin ? I see that there is no recent activities on the plugin repo.

I'm not intentionally trolling, but I imagine that the reason that the kotlin eclipse plugin has no activity is that there is no interest in it. Eclipse is pretty terrible, which people only realise after being shown the capabilities of IDEA. Admittedly, the refactoring in IDEA is terrible in kotlin compared to java, but I guess it will improve.

I think Eclipse is still considered as a main stream IDE and some organization have their own tooling around it like for example Redhat Tools. So in such scenario trying to get Kotlin into the mix will be good for the language, if we forget about marketing side of it for IntelliJ

I think that in that scenario the most likely scenario is to convince companies to move to IntelliJ, instead of making better tooling for outdated software

IDEA > Netbeans > Eclipse

Thus said, the Eclipse foundation has developed impressive frameworks like EMF which powers a lot of other great tools, especially those for Model-driven development.
