i got a JNI error and invalid callstack errors trying to assign string to continuation or so

yeah, this would actually require a JVMLS modification to work. Microsoft did it for C#, but I doubt oracle would be as willing... though, honestly, you could imagine a reasonable simple and extensible scheme using something like service loaders.
