I use a 256gb ssd, 8gb ram 13 inch mac book pro 2015, am actually able to open 3 android studio screens at the same time, but i never try to sync gradle simultaneously amongst them. I would suggest increasing your heap size in your android studio settings and probably add a swap partition if you don’t already have one. then reduce the number of chrome tabs, or use chrome and safari. if you have to read articles use safari if you want to open github/bitbucket or jira, email and any work website use chrome
