02/22/2018, 6:35 PMIt ain't dumb if it works for them 🙂 They provide a product on their terms, those who do not want it are welcome to competition. I too do not like the terms, but I don't like competition even more, so I'm quite grateful that they give at least something for free for us to use.
To each their own though.

02/22/2018, 6:37 PMIt's just weird that there's no "open source" option with a fixed price. I don't know of any open community willing to pay 8$ a month per person to log into their Slack. At the same time, Slack isn't the best option for this kind of thing

02/22/2018, 8:06 PMYup, without snippets and threads it's unusable for dev community imho. If enough people ask for those they'll develop it, I'm sure, their team is pretty responsive for a project like that.
