Nice idea! I don’t think Slack allows such read-only restricted channels, though. But community here is so good that I doubt it could be a problem. However, announcements often provoke discussions, and though threads are there, they are not very useable tbh. OTOH, we already have <#C0BJ0GTE2|>, may be just post it there.
