I guess I'm not the only one @orangy 😃... the work is even done. Any chance it'll squeeze into the next Ktor version?

See, there is a scalability problem. What you see is 2-3 outgoing requests from your side. What we see is hundreds incoming requests – some issues, some PRs, some questions on SO, twitter, reddit, etc, etc. There is also our own roadmap of what we think we need to do. I’m not saying that we won’t look into it soon, not at all. We will, of course. But there are only 2 developers and we can do only so much each week. Bugs take priority, especially given that you can make a Feature yourself and it doesn’t have to be in the main distribution to be usable.

True, but if PRs are given importance then the community will want to contribute, which means more than 2 devs 🙂. But if they are put aside, then people just give up contributing... I understand your viewpoint 100%, I wasn't expecting you guys to actually implement it, but if it's done (partially) then commenting on PRs a bit is not as time-consuming. It doesn't look like coroutines has any more devs, but they do comment on issues and PRs... even little comments or saying it's not possible. Even just giving a roadmap, and assigning it to a version more or less.

Totally agree. Will fix what’s fixable, including looking for more developers 🙂
