i just discovered the dependency management ui. if i understand correctly it uses https://package-search.jetbrains.com/ which in turn browses a preset list of 7 repositories. is it possible to add further repos, or do i have to manage dependencies from other repos manually ?

Looks like it's only these 7. I'd file a feature request at https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/newIssue. There is a "package search" project
