I very much dislike how plugins are handled in 183.. It seems much more confusing than it was before
o
Do you mean the UI?
g
The UI in terms of how it looks is great. It's the UX that's confusing me. As an example, I removed the Kotlin plugin that's bundled with AS using 183; and now I can't find the plugin at all. So maybe it's hiding it when I search because it's not compatible with my version of intellij, but I feel much less in control of plugins than I was before.

The issue I'm specifically referencing is here: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/KT-27805
What's weird is in AS 3.4-1; I had kotlin plugin 1.3. In AS 3.4-2; it downgrades to 1.2.7. I'm not sure how to find a plugin repository from the intellij plugins website
I'm just gonna reinstall AS; I can't find the kotlin plugin in the search

you have to select the “installed” tab then it works. i was confused at first too
o
Installed tab was renamed to Marketplace btw
Nope, I mixed it myself 😄 Trending was renamed
c
it is confusing :))

i think an easy fix would be if the marketplace tab showed installed plugins too.
you go to the plugin settings because you want to do something about a plugin, you type the name, it just works
