This is progress and it is moving forward… the only way to move forward (using the latest features etc) is to adopt or use the last supported version, which is obviously 2.7.0

I understand that, if they are significant the only way is to ask Lottie team to add a bug fix release into old branch. Otherwise it is good start and reasons to move forward and migrate to Android X.
