it means that the $kotlin_version you’re using in your gradle script differs from the kotlin puglin version installed on your Android Studio you can check it in Tools > Kotlin > Configure Kotlin Plugins Updates

It’s a bug with the plugin:

You can choose to set the same version, but you can just ignore the warning if you want to build with jdk7
