Never tried JaCoCo before, but, I remembered when I want to try mockk (https://github.com/oleksiyp/mockk#2-add-class-modification-via-annotation) there’s an information if I want to use mockk with JaCoCo, I must use agent. I don’t know if this is related with your question but I hope it can help.
