Thanks, did you manage to configure it for android? With ktlint i have problem with excluding rules, i dont want to modify my source code to exclude some rules (wildcard imports which are fine imo) but detekt throws some exception if I add it to classpath
Copy code
Error:(1, 0) Unable to find method 'com.google.common.collect.Lists.newArrayListWithCapacity(I)Ljava/util/ArrayList;'.
Possible causes for this unexpected error include:<ul><li>Gradle's dependency cache may be corrupt (this sometimes occurs after a network connection timeout.)
<a href="syncProject">Re-download dependencies and sync project (requires network)</a></li><li>The state of a Gradle build process (daemon) may be corrupt. Stopping all Gradle daemons may solve this problem.
<a href="stopGradleDaemons">Stop Gradle build processes (requires restart)</a></li><li>Your project may be using a third-party plugin which is not compatible with the other plugins in the project or the version of Gradle requested by the project.</li></ul>In the case of corrupt Gradle processes, you can also try closing the IDE and then killing all Java processes.

We have both ktlint and detekt enabled for our Android project currently and aren’t experiencing that exception you are having. There’s no way of configuring ktlint and unfortunately, it looks that it is unlikely the maintainer will add support: https://github.com/shyiko/ktlint/issues/32 . Although, in our project we disable wildcard imports.

Strange, I’ll look into that. And how did you disable the wildcard import? With modifying source code with comments like /* ktlint-enable no-wildcard-imports */?
