https://github.com/ben-manes/gradle-versions-plugin doesn't work properly if you only have jcenter, so I keep both.

Hmm, luckily I haven’t had any issues with his plugin only using jcenter ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . But If I start seeing it then now I know where to look 🙂

the new project structure dialog eliminates the need for the gradle-versions-plugin. So if the plugin is giving you grief at all you should get rid of it.
