quick question.... do any of you get tired of answering the same questions over and over? what are those questions?

I haven’t been on this slack for that long, all things considered, but I don’t really mind answering some questions a few times, as long as they’re ones that I understand to not be too intuitive or are particularly crucial as a newcomer to the language. What bothers me much more are people who clearly have never used Slack and skip the tutorial, missing out on search and the channel listing and whatnot

A few months ago there was a boom in #kotlin-native interest and it was getting to the point where you’d see someone ask “hey is there a native channel” like four times a week lol

Answering some fundamentals on a regular basis helps me retain core concepts better and hopefully improves my ability to teach folks in a concise, helpful manner

Repetitio est mater studiorum. Indeed repeating fundamentals is essential for memorization. It resembles one story about apprentices, that progressing from one grade to another, forget basics, thus fail exams

Something particular that comes up often is questions about variance and contravariance, but I'm happy to explain every time because it's something you would otherwise forget after a month.
