I’ve used Clojure up to 1.9 and for some side projects at work. Started looking at Kotlin as easier to adopt/introduce into the enterprise I work for which is predominately a Java house rather than a lisp although I do like Clojure a lot. Can’t see management buying into Clojure ecosystem but I can see Kotlin being adopted as essentially it’s a better Java with the strong USP with its tight interoperability with existing Java libraries/frameworks.

I'm using Clojure 100% at work, but have been giving Kotlin some consideration over the past month or two. I get a strong "ruby" vibe off some of syntax and the expression-orientation - which is good thing 🙂

I’ve been working in and with Clojure for about 6 years now and…¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It’s starting to wear on me a bit. I was considering Scala but found Kotlin which definitely has a strong Ruby/Elixir vibe. I definitely like FP but I find it doesn’t always have a good “programming in the large” story.
