consider using zt-exec . while the built in libs could probably use some help, zt-exec is really quite nice.

Thanks, zt-exec seems a very good lib indeed. However the groovy extensions seem very easy to port to Kotlin and would also cover the most common use cases with one-liners, without the need of a thirdparty library.
