I wish you would see how ridiculous that sounds. You should be able to program in any language and use any framework if you develop your skills enough.

i only care about Algorithms having things in O(1)/...../O(N) , not about language tbh
but the job market care about it alot , don't want to be left with few opportunities.
In the end kotlin or my manager wont come to help me.

@Luis Munoz as a Spring enthusiast I can’t agree more. If you learn Spring, ktor or anything else those skills can & should translate to other frameworks.

I understand your concerns, people do care about languages though they shouldn’t. However, if you are starting your career, it would be better for you to focus on what is going to help you in the mid term. Maybe Kotlin is not that relevant in the job market today… but, would it be next year? If that is the case, you would be more ready than people that is focused on what is happening right now (Java). Look for the tools that let you do more, better, in an easier way (the job market will probably follow that trend, at a slower pace)… In my honest opinion, of course

if you're concerned about your resume I'd say that kotlin + spring boot is a safer bet.

you still get to enjoy the perks of kotlin while staying involved with the much larger spring ecosystem
