I don’t know what’s the proper answer..
I can tell you that in my case I started learning Kotlin because I didn’t wanted to get stuck in PHP, I wanted something more modern and I was familiar with java.. Was a natural step for me..
Now i’m not working as a Kotlin developer, in fact I’m working more with java haha
So it depends of the case, and your objectives..
